From 10 to 13 June 2026, a series of events was held in Köthen, Germany, as part of the international education project “Expanding the Successful German-Ukrainian Education Network” — Erfolgreiches Deutsch-Ukrainisches Bildungsnetzwerk Ausbauen (EDUBA). The events were organised by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, a partner institution of NURE.
NURE was represented by Professor Oleksandr Lemeshko, Head of the V. V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering, and Professor Oksana Yeremenko of the same department. The Kharkiv delegation also included students Yaroslav Bazukov, Kyrylo Zavadskyi, Yelyzaveta Hrebeniuk, and Oleksandr Sokolov, who plan to continue their Master’s studies at NURE within the double degree programme.
The visit programme, which included numerous working meetings, productive discussions, and professional consultations, was primarily aimed at coordinating the structure and content of NURE’s updated educational and research programme “Telecommunication Systems and Networks” within speciality G5 and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences’ Master’s Double Degree Programme Communication and Embedded Systems (EN).
During a series of meetings, Ukrainian and German professors analysed in detail the titles, content, scope, and sequence of the programme’s educational components. They also discussed the competencies that students are expected to acquire while studying within the double degree programme. The coordinated programme is expected to be implemented from the next academic year.
With the support of the German partners and the personal contribution of EDUBA Project Coordinator Maryna Popova, the key tasks related to the coordination of the educational programmes were successfully completed.
During the visit, NURE students explored their future study environment, including the academic buildings and laboratories of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Köthen, as well as the university canteen and student residence. They also attended several classes delivered by leading professors who teach the core courses of the Communication and Embedded Systems (EN) Master’s programme.
An important part of the visit was participation in the Open Day of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. The professors and students of the V. V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering had an opportunity to learn more about the university’s faculties, educational programmes, research achievements, and modern academic infrastructure.
NURE’s participation in the EDUBA project contributes to the development of German-Ukrainian educational cooperation, expands academic mobility opportunities, and creates new prospects for students to study within international double degree programmes.
