From 5 to 7 August 2026, Iryna Pobizhenko, Head of the Department for Coordination of Educational Programmes and Academic Exchange at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, participated in the three-day training and mentoring programme “Economic Pedagogy in Action” held in Kyiv.

The programme was organised by the Bendukidze Free Market Center in cooperation with the Economic Fundamentals Initiative (EFI) and Florida State University.

The training focused on modern interactive approaches to teaching economics and finance. Participants explored project-based learning tools, differentiated instruction, educational simulations and case-based learning.

Particular attention was paid to facilitating group discussions and debates, including the World Café methodology, gamification of the learning process, and the use of modern digital tools and artificial intelligence in education. Participants also explored contemporary assessment strategies and approaches to providing constructive feedforward.

As part of the practical component, Iryna Pobizhenko worked within a project team to develop and successfully present a methodological package for a practical class.

The experience gained, facilitation tools and methodological materials developed during the programme will be integrated into the work of the NURE Department for Coordination of Educational Programmes and Academic Exchange, particularly in the development of new academic mobility projects, international educational initiatives and cooperation with Ukrainian and international partners.

The participation of NURE representatives in such programmes contributes to the dissemination of modern educational practices, the development of international cooperation and the continued improvement of the University’s educational environment.
