The community of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics congratulates NURE Rector Ihor Ruban on the high state recognition of his many years of professional, scientific, and educational activity.
Ihor Ruban has devoted many years of his professional career to Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. At different stages of his career, he served as Professor and Head of the Department of Electronic Computers, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Methodological Work, and First Vice-Rector. In 2025, Ihor Ruban became Rector of NURE.
Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor Ihor Ruban is a researcher in the fields of cybersecurity and digital image processing. An important part of his professional activity is the development of a scientific school and the training of researchers. Under his supervision, four Doctors of Sciences, twelve Candidates of Technical Sciences, and one Doctor of Philosophy have completed their degrees. He is the author of more than 300 scientific and educational publications, including five textbooks.
His scientific and organizational activities are closely connected with the development of modern information technologies, information and educational systems, the digitalization of university processes, and technological solutions for education and research. He pays significant attention to supporting scientific research, developing opportunities for young scientists, strengthening cooperation between the University and the IT industry, and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff.
As Rector of NURE, Ihor Ruban continues to focus on the development of the University under wartime conditions, preserving its educational and scientific potential, modernizing University infrastructure, and strengthening cooperation with educational, research, and industry partners. Support for student initiatives, development of the research environment, creation of modern educational spaces, and further integration of NURE into the Ukrainian and international education and research area remain important priorities.
This high state recognition reflects Ihor Ruban’s many years of dedicated work, professionalism, and contribution to the development of higher education, science, and the training of new generations of specialists.
