Valerii Leiko, a well-known historian, public activist and director Childhood Museum in Kharkiv, visited the NURE Museum.
He appreciated the museum’s unique exhibits, their historical value and role in preserving the memory of the development of technology and science in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation, including joint educational activities for children and youth. Both museums have a strong potential for outreach activities, such as promoting history, technology, and culture among schoolchildren, students, and city residents.

Future joint projects include:
  • interactive tours where children can compare Soviet-era toys with modern technology;
  • joint exhibitions where exhibits from Childhood Museum (toys, books) will be combined with NURE equipment (radio equipment, computers);
  • soldering and programming workshops for schoolchildren to get them interested in engineering professions;
  • Quests and Science Weekends – game activities for children and parents to learn about the evolution of technology.

“Collaboration with museums is a way to live communication with the community. We want history to be not just facts, but a part of modern life,” said Uliana Stetsiv-Samchuk, Director of the NURE Museum.

The NURE Museum plans to expand its outreach activities by holding visiting lectures, open discussions and joint events with other cultural institutions. The main goal is to make science and history accessible and enjoyable for all age groups.
