NURE lecturers took part in training as part of the WARN project

13.03.2024

From 19 to 23 February 2024, the WARN community took part in research and training activities at the University of Coimbra. The training week was held as part of the Erasmus+ project “Academic Response to Hybrid Threats” 610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.

Representatives of the project partners reported on the development of various work packages over the past 5 months, as well as on new challenges and tasks in the final stage of the project.

Professional speakers from Portuguese government organisations and lecturers from two faculties – the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Coimbra – shared their experience and knowledge.

The interactive format of the training sessions facilitated discussions and debates on security issues, particularly in the following areas:

– prospects and trends in CSDP (Common Security and Defence Policy);

– mental health and its restoration in conditions of military conflict;

– psychological monitoring and intervention in crisis situations;

– excellence in teaching and scientific guidance;

– cybersecurity and governance in the EU.

The materials obtained during the training will be used in the future to update the educational programmes of NURE.

This will contribute to the sustainability and dissemination of the project results, the strengthening of interdisciplinary research and overall educational synergy among WARN environment participants.
