Reaffirming the commitment to sustainable development Goals to consolidate efforts in the academic environment, NURE joined the United Nations academic Engagement (UNAI) initiative – United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI)
This initiative is aimed at enhancing the cooperation of the United Nations with higher education institutions in the implementation of its goals, including the observance and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainable development. UNAI provides an opportunity to learn from research, share ideas and resources that contribute to a common global culture of intellectual responsibility to society and the achievement of sustainable development goals. Currently, the community has more than 1,300 members-educational institutions from more than 130 countries.
