The UniRank ™ International Search and Reference System of Higher Education, which features ratings of more than 13,600 recognized universities and colleges from 200 countries, has published the 2019 YouTube University Rankings issue, according to which NURE ranked the 5th on popularity among 109 Ukrainian universities on YouTube.
The aim of the UniRank YouTube University Ranking is to determine the index of the popularity of each university in the YouTube network based on the total number of subscribers.
As of May 2019, 7589 of the 13598 educational institutions included in the UniRank database have an official YouTube channel that is 55.81%.
According to the organizers rating, the popularity of university channels on the YouTube platform depends upon various factors, including the reputation and size of the university, the overall level of university presence in the network, the level of acceptance and use by the YouTube University as an additional channel for the institutional website, the level of Internet use in the country , connection speed, etc.
It should be noted that 109 Ukrainian universities out of 171 HEIs has its own channel. This is 63.7% at the rating base, which is higher than the world’s level
