On September 30 – October 1, the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference of otorhinolaryngologists of Ukraine “Diagnosis and treatment in otorhinolaryngology in modern conditions” was held in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The organizers of the conference were the Institute of Otolaryngology named after Professor O.S. Kolomiychenko of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Scientific Medical Society of Otorhinolaryngologists. As part of the scientific and practical conference, the leaders of domestic otorhinolaryngology exchanged professional experience and discussed the most relevant topics of today, such as: injuries during wartime; peculiarities of treatment tactics for gunshot wounds; approaches to the provision of medical assistance in case of damage to the ENT organs during hostilities, etc.
On behalf of NURE, scientists of the biomedical engineering department Oleg Avrunin, Yana Nosova, Natalia Shushlyapina, as well as stakeholders of the department – otolaryngologists Mykhailo Kalashnyk, Yuliya Svitlichna and Yuliya Kalashnyk took part in the conference. The report was presented as a result of scientific cooperation of the department with leading medical institutions on the topic “Comparative analysis of cytomorphological features of the nasal mucosa according to computer tomography (CT) data in chronic pathologies of intranasal structures”.
Participation in such scientific events contributes to the achievement of the 3rd UN Sustainable Development Goal – Strong health and well-being and familiarization of doctors and biomedical engineers with the latest treatment and rehabilitation technologies within the framework of the exhibition of modern medical equipment.
