A new SCImago Institutions Rankings 2021 has been published, which continues to improve – in 2021 subject ratings have been added. Despite the contradictory rating methodology, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics improved its position on the “Research” indicator by rising by 20 positions, from 476 to 456. In subject ratings in computer science and energy NURE took 7th place.
According to the indicator “Innovation”, the University of Radio Electronics dropped from 516 to 540 place, and according to the indicator “Social Impact” – from 237 to 250. In general, KNURE dropped from 18 place among 29 Ukrainian universities to 27 out of 39. In the world ranking from 822 to 844 position, actually improving their performance, because the SCImago ranking includes organizations that have overcome the barrier of 100 publications in Scopus per year. Therefore, the total number of ranked universities is constantly growing. In 2021, it amounted to 4,126 compared to last year’s 3,897.
