NURE in international projects

Representatives of two departments of Informatics and Artificial Intelligence of NURE took part in events held at St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia) from June 2 to 5, 2025, within the EU Horizon Europe project “INITIATE: Supporting European R&D through stakeholder collaboration and institutional reform” (grant agreement No. 101136775).I through stakeholder collaboration and institutional reform” (grant agreement No. 101136775).

The event was planned to combine an official meeting, educational activities, and project workshops to create synergy between the projects of the University in Skopje and NURE (JoInME) in particular:

– a general meeting of consortium members to report on the results of the first year of the project, plan tasks for the second project year, and prepare for the interim report;

– an expert seminar on entrepreneurial skills and business plan development, at which Associate Professor of the AI Department Maria Golovianko gave a lecture to university students and project members on “Joint multidisciplinary program of entrepreneurial training in AI for Industry 5.0” based on the results of 20-year experience of teaching the European Virtual Entrepreneurship Program. A recording of the lecture has been added to the project’s Knowledge Hub;

– Workshop on the application of interdisciplinarity in higher education as a key project approach to promoting green transition and digital transformation;

– Workshop on the analysis of Horizon Europe and Life program competitions relevant to the project.

The results of the work can be described as useful, interesting, and inspiring for the further development of project results and their development in new types of cooperation.
