Education is a key tool for achieving a sustainable future. NURE is taking an essential step towards sustainable development by launching a new course «Sustainable Development Goals: Ecology, Society, Governance». This course is mandatory for the annual training of university staff and is also available for students as an alternative course.
The course is aimed at integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into educational process. Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge of global challenges such as climate change, social inequality, economic imbalance, and learn how to apply the principles of sustainable development in their professional and daily activities.
This course will help our employees and students understand the essence of the SDGs and become active participants in their implementation.
Program of the course:
- Basic concepts and principles of sustainable development.
- Integration of sustainable development in educational systems.
- Methods and approaches of environmental education.
- Impact of social equity on sustainable development.
- Economics of sustainable development.
- Impact of technology on sustainable development.
- Local initiatives for sustainable development.
- Methods for measuring and evaluating sustainable development.
The course programe covers topics such as environmental responsibility, social justice, economic sustainability, as well as practical cases of implementing sustainable development in education and research.
Students who choose this course as an elective will have a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills, which will become an integral part of their professional training. Upon completing the course, students will receive a certificate for 3 ECTS credits.
