NURE Hosts a Coffee Painting Workshop for World Mental Health Day

10.10.2026

On October 8, 2026, the History Museum of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted a coffee painting workshop entitled “Autumn Mood: Little Pumpkins.” The event was organized by the “NURE without Limits” Accessibility Service on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, which is observed annually on October 10.

Mental health is an important part of a person’s overall well-being. It determines the ability to maintain emotional balance, cope with life’s challenges, interact with others, and realize one’s potential. For this reason, the main purpose of the event was to create a space for emotional relief, creative self-expression, and support for students and University staff.

During the workshop, participants immersed themselves in the creative process, painting warm autumn-themed artworks with coffee-based paints. The aroma of coffee, the calm pace of the activity, and the welcoming atmosphere helped everyone relax, step away from everyday concerns, express their feelings through art, and create their own small masterpieces.

Such initiatives are an important part of building a friendly and supportive University environment in which attention is paid not only to education and professional development, but also to psychological comfort, inner balance, and the mental well-being of the University community.

The workshop became another opportunity to emphasize the importance of caring for mental health and finding time for rest, creativity, and mutual support.
