On 22 February, third-level higher education students and the head of the BMI department at NURE took part for the first time as representatives of technical universities in a media project organised by Kharkiv National Medical University called “Student to Student”.
The project provides conditions for the development of creative abilities of gifted young people, shapes a modern worldview, gives impetus to independent scientific knowledge, instils the ability to think critically, and shapes the individual’s need for self-education and self-realisation. This experience helps students try their hand at being lecturers, which allows them to master so-called soft skills, teaches them to overcome their fear of speaking in front of a large audience, and helps them organise themselves when preparing for lectures, searching for new information, and deepening their knowledge of a chosen topic.
The head of the BMI department, Professor Oleg Avrunin, gave a welcoming speech and emphasised that participation in such projects promotes an interdisciplinary approach and the exchange of experience.
Third-level (educational and scientific) students of the department Serhii Misochenko, Marko Andrushchenko and Andriy Sokolov reported on their experience of using artificial intelligence methods (neural network technologies) for processing biomedical images, medical applications and creating open educational resources within the framework of the international project under the DAAD Ukraine Digital OER4Ukraine programme.
The event took place on a volunteer basis. Speeches were devoted to interdisciplinary research, which is very relevant in the world of the world rating of The. It is also relevant to cooperate with medical institutions. This contributes to the achievement of global goals of sustainable development of the UN.
