On October 21–22, 2026, Iryna Pobizhenko, Head of the Department for Coordination of Educational Programmes and Academic Mobility and Associate Professor at the NURE Department of Software Engineering, took part in the Horizon Europe Advanced Digital Technologies Brokerage Event in Riga, Latvia, attending all sessions of the event. During the same period, she also participated in the international TECHRITORY forum.
The brokerage event focused on building international consortia for the 2027 calls under Horizon Europe Cluster 4. Particular attention was paid to the topic HORIZON-CL4-2027-02-DIGITAL-EMERGING-52, dedicated to human–AI interaction for the workforce of the future.
Prior to the visit, the profile of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was published on the event matchmaking platform, allowing NURE to present its research expertise in advance and arrange meetings with potential international partners.
During the event, Iryna Pobizhenko held meetings with representatives of organizations from Latvia, Estonia and Montenegro, including AdriaMont Consulting, EDIH Digital Accelerator of Latvia, Tallinn University, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Lieneieva.lv and the National Center for Mental Health.
On October 23, before leaving Riga, she also met with Aleksandr Piatrou, a representative of UZINFOCOM Europe. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation, including internship opportunities for NURE students in an IT company and joint projects in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence.
Following the brokerage event, communication with potential partners continued. In particular, an online meeting with representatives of the Open University, United Kingdom, was held on November 4 to discuss further cooperation and possible participation in joint project initiatives.
The development of potential consortia for future Horizon Europe calls remains a separate area of work. NURE already has experience in the Horizon Europe projects DIRECT, SPAR and INITIATE and is currently seeking a coordinator and partners from EU Member States for new applications under the 2027 calls.
Participation in the Horizon Europe Advanced Digital Technologies Brokerage Event and TECHRITORY marked an important step in expanding NURE’s international network, presenting the University’s research potential and identifying new partners for future European projects.
