Independence Day is both the beginning and the culmination of public holidays. For us, Ukrainians, Independence Day is a holiday woven of joy and sadness. Independence Day is a strong reminder of why we must continue our work, support our defenders and look boldly into the future.
For Ukraine today, it is the 33rd and the 3rd during a full-scale war. But there are countries in the world that do not have such a holiday. And it is also important to remember this. In our sense, it is about the long road to independence, about the centuries of struggle and losses that continue today.
So, let us be independent, free and strong, let us stand together, let us study and remember history, and let us thank today all those who are involved in gaining and maintaining Ukraine’s independence against all odds!
