On February 5-6, the Kharkiv Region Championship in classical powerlifting and classic bench press among adults and juniors took place.
Students of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took part in the competition: CMSU Igor Lukienko (KITPVm-21-1); CMSU Victoria Akhremenko (DSm-21-1); multiple absolute champion of the Kharkiv region Narvatov Alexander (PZPI-19-2), Konstantin Bondarenko (PZPI-21-3); Lara Pilyuk (KUIB-20-1); Mykita Bobkiv (ACTAKIT-20-3), Rustam Fabrovan (UEPS-19-1), who for the first time fulfilled the standard of a candidate for master of sports of Ukraine in classical powerlifting.
In the bench press, Victoria Akhremenko and Konstantin Bondarenko won first place, Nikita Bobkov – second. In the triathlon Lara Pilyuk, Igor Lukienko, Alexander Narvatov and Konstantin Bondarenko took first place, in addition, Lara Pilyuk won third place, and Alexander Narvatov – second in the absolute weight category. Rustam Farbovan took second place.
In total, according to the results of the competition, the athletes won six gold medals, three silver and one bronze in powerlifting and in a separate exercise – bench press.
Four athletes of the University of Radio Electronics received the right to represent the Kharkiv region at the Ukrainian Championship in classical powerlifting, which will take place in March in Lviv.
