On December 19, 2024, a solemn presentation of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module project “Integration of the promising EU cyber security ecosystem in Ukraine” (EUCyberEcoUA) took place. The project is aimed at popularizing European experience for the effective integration of a promising cyber security ecosystem in Ukraine through active informational and educational work at the institutional and national levels with the involvement of representatives of all stakeholders from business to public sectors.
The event was opened by Arkady Snigurov, dean of the Faculty of Information and Communications of NURE.
Serhii Hnatiuk, president of the NGO “Scientific Cybersecurity Association of Ukraine”, also delivered a welcome speech, who emphasized the importance of the project in the context of growing cyber threats to Ukraine.
Project coordinator, Maryna Yevdokymenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering named after V.V. Popovsky NURE, presented the main goals and objectives of the project, in particular the development and implementation of training courses based on the best European practices in the field of cyber security.
Within the framework of the project, the following courses will be developed and conducted:
- EU regulatory framework and standards for the cybersecurity ecosystem.
- A European approach to combating online disinformation as a threat to democracy.
- Cyber security and sustainability of the EU: ICT ecosystem.
- EU best practices for using reliable artificial intelligence.
The executors of the project are Oleksandr Lemeshko, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering named after V.V. Popovsky NURE, Oleksandra Yeremenko – Ph.D., professor of the department of information and communication engineering named after V.V. Popovskyi NURE, Oleksandr Adamov – Ph.D., senior lecturer of the department of computer engineering design automation of NURE and Andriy Pazyuk – Doctor of Laws, professor of the Department of International Law of the Kyiv Aviation Institute.
The EUCyberEcoUA project will be an important step in improving Ukraine’s cyber resilience and implementing European standards in the field of cyber security.
