More than 250 high school students from Kharkiv took part in the career guidance activities “Autumn of Discoveries with NURE”, held during the autumn school holidays in different districts of the city.
Lecturers and students of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics offered school students an interactive introduction to the world of science, modern technologies, and engineering.
Participants had an opportunity to join the “Try Yourself in IT” interactive business analysis game, take part in a workshop on artificial intelligence and computer vision, solve engaging puzzles together with the Department of Applied Mathematics, and test their skills in the STEM project “Save Your Hometown”.
The demonstration sessions devoted to modern technologies attracted particular interest. During the activities, students explored applications of laser technologies, learned about the structure, electronics, and basic control of unmanned aerial vehicles, and became familiar with the operating principles of modern thermal imaging systems and their use in security.
The “Autumn of Discoveries with NURE” format gave school students an opportunity not only to learn about modern professions but also to try different fields in practice, communicate with University lecturers and students, and discover more about educational opportunities in information technology, engineering, and science.
The world of science is a world of discoveries, mysteries, and innovation. NURE continues to open this world to future applicants.
