Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was visited by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Oksana Ferchuk.
During the meeting, the capabilities of the NURE Centre for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment, its modern experimental facilities and promising areas of scientific research were presented.
The activities of the laboratory, its scientific infrastructure and main research areas were presented by Oleksandr Hnatenko, Head of the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering at NURE.
The laboratory has a powerful experimental base, with a significant part of its equipment provided to the University by European partners within the framework of international scientific and technical cooperation. The established infrastructure makes it possible to conduct advanced research and create experimental prototypes at a modern European technological level.
Particular attention was paid to the application of laser technologies in medicine and other socially significant areas. In particular, NURE researchers are developing technological approaches to the manufacture of miniature vascular stents, including those intended for paediatric cardiology.
An important topic of the meeting was the prospects for further cooperation between the Department of Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering, NURE and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine within the RIF initiative. The initiative involves the development of an extensive modern research infrastructure through cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and the V. E. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
During the visit, developments of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation, Robotics and Safety Engineering (CITARSE) at NURE were also presented, demonstrating the practical results of the University’s scientific and engineering activities.
Assistant to the Rector for IT Vitalii Tkachov demonstrated NURE’s computing capabilities, which became possible due to the University’s participation in the World Bank programme “Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project“.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the development of research infrastructure, the implementation of advanced technologies and the strengthening of cooperation between NURE and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in the implementation of promising scientific and technological initiatives.
