On 18 October, an online meeting was held between scientists from the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation and Robotics at NURE and representatives of Flex, one of the world leaders in contract electronics manufacturing (EMS business) and design.
Flex has more than 130 manufacturing sites and design centres in 30 countries on four continents. Its production facilities cover an area of 2.5 million square metres. The company employs 176,000 people. It operates as a vertically integrated design and manufacturing supplier for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the following market segments:
- Infrastructure, including data transmission networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Mobile communications.
- Computing.
- Consumer digital devices.
- Industrial, semiconductor equipment, environmentally friendly technology equipment, aerospace and defence industry equipment, barcode readers, meters, wind and solar energy equipment, test equipment.
- Automotive and marine equipment – navigation equipment, radar components.
- Medical equipment, which includes products such as diagnostic devices, telemedicine, medical equipment and disposable medical supplies.
