On November 6–9, 2025, the European Defense Tech Hackathon took place in Kyiv — a large-scale event that brought together over 200 engineers from across Europe to develop innovative defense solutions.
NURE students demonstrated that Ukrainian engineers are already creating solutions today that save lives and change the course of the war.
The event was held in an intensive format: 4 days of development, real-world challenges from the frontline, mentorship from defense company experts, and field testing of prototypes at a training facility.
NURE was represented by a team of students from the KIU (Computer Engineering and Control) Faculty, specifically from the Department of Computer Engineering (EOM) and the Department of Information Technology Security (BIT).
