On the weekend, NURE opened its doors to the city’s teenagers. Children and their parents had the opportunity to visit the military equipment exhibition, which featured models of tanks, ships and aircraft from the collection of the head of the BMI department, Professor Oleg Avrunin. Model building is his hobby, and he was happy to share it with his young guests.
After a fascinating tour, the children went to the “Motorika” laboratory of the BMI department, where modern sports medicine and physical rehabilitation training equipment awaited them. Trampoline jumping, treadmill running, and exercise bikes – all these helped the children to release their energy and get a boost of positive emotions.
During the war, such events become especially valuable, as they help children cope with stress, make new friends, and spend their time usefully and joyfully. Working voluntarily, the university opens its doors to the entire community, providing the opportunity to receive a quality education and access to modern sports activities free of charge. Physical activity during the holidays is good for health and a meaningful way to relieve tension, which is necessary for children due to the war.
