Kashcheev’s Seminar took place in NURE

On March 30-31, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted the IV International Conference – Seminar “Meteors and Celestial Objects, Weather and Space: From Data and Technology to Heritage and Development”, abbreviated – Seminar Kashcheeva 2021.
The seminar was dedicated to such significant dates as: 100 years since the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian scientist, honorary professor of the University of Radio Electronics Borys Leonidovych Kashcheev. It was Professor Kashcheev who founded and developed the study of meteors by radar in Kharkiv; 80 years since the birth of the famous Ukrainian scientist, honorary professor of NURE – Yuri Ivanovich Voloshchuk, who made a significant contribution to the development of meteor astronomy and the study of small bodies, as well as introduced information technology, e-technology and technical cybernetics in obtaining, processing and interpreting meteoric data; 50 years since the beginning of meteor research at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics; 90 years since the founding of NURE. During the IV International Conference – Seminar “Meteors and Celestial Objects, Weather and Space: From Data and Technology to Heritage and Development”, participants had the opportunity to read reports from colleagues, as well as discuss pressing issues, research, new ways and prospects development of Ukrainian science.
