October 26, 2020 Online Workshop “Big Data Technologies in the Modern World”
During the event, participants learned about the concepts of “Big Data” and “Data Maning”, the importance of processing large amounts of data in decision-making in today’s digital world. How to store, manage, and analyze big data with the right big data tools – and get valuable information that was previously unimaginable. The Workshop was conducted by certified specialists of the SAP Academy Center, participants received certificates and incentive prizes.
27.10.2020 Master class on robotics “Create intelligence for your own robot”
The aim is to engage young people in the modern world of robotics and gain practical skills in developing a system of vision and artificial intelligence of the humanoid robot. The master class was conducted by specialists of the Data Science Laboratory of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics with the involvement of partners from the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania) from the Robotics Laboratory, who created a humanoid robot. The participants of the event gained online access to the robot located in the Robotics Laboratory, Lithuania, video data from the system of view of this robot and created their own Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence projects to analyze the obtained data.
28.10.2020 Online seminar “Creation of artificial intelligence systems using a neural network”
During the seminar, experts from leading IT companies in Kharkiv demonstrated in an online format all the stages from the choice of neural network architecture to its practical application. Including stages of formation of a set of input data and machine learning of a neural network. The participants, divided into teams, worked on solving a real problem with their mentor from the company. During the work on the mini-project, skills in the development of artificial intelligence systems based on neural network technologies using Python (TensorFlow) were acquired. They can use this experience when working in IT companies, and place projects in their CVs.
The seminar was held for young people aged 18 to 24. Among the certificates awarded at the end of three days of online seminars are teachers and students: prof. Yeremenko O.S., associate professors Evdokimenko M.O, Kulya Yu.E., Pronyuk G.V., student of KUIB-20-1 group Porokhnyak V.Yu.
The Meet and Code initiative is funded by SAP. In Ukraine, Meet and Code is implemented by the GURT Resource Center, which in partnership with TechSoup implements the Technology Support Program for Ukrainian NGOs.
Such events have been and remain an effective means of improving the quality of education, promotion and involvement of a wide range of educators in international educational projects.
