Implementation of the International Project Education for Green Transition in Ukraine Universities GTUAedu NAWA 2024 in NURE

From March 09 to March 17, 2024, the kick-off meeting for the international project Education for Green Transition in Ukraine Universities GTUAedu NAWA 2024 was held at the University of Science and Technology (Wroclaw Tech) in Wroclaw, Poland. NURE was represented in the project by the Dean of the Faculty of Automation and Computerized Technologies, Prof. Oleksandr FILIPENKO and Associate Professor of the Department of Security Engineering Hanna PRONYUK.
The meeting discussed the main objectives, work plan, budget of the Education for Green Transition project and areas of cooperation within its implementation with the consortium of European universities Unite! https://www.unite-university.eu/
The project’s work plan includes a Summer School for students, the development of microcredit courses, the formation of a Green University model and the requirements for recognizing universities as green.
During the meeting, modern approaches to the creation of micro-credit courses Micro-credentials were presented. The general framework. (Anna Maria Kamińska, Wrocław Tech), project participants shared the achievements of their teams in the presentations “What did the university get from participating in the previous GTUA project?” Natalia Stukalo, Deputy Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA), presented the prospects for implementing green standards in higher education in Ukraine and outlined the role of green standards in the activities of universities.
During the lively discussion, representatives of universities from Ukraine and Poland, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance discussed ways to improve green standards and the challenges of assessing dynamic changes in green transformation processes.
