Horting is rightly considered one of the most popular types of Ukrainian national martial arts. Built on the strong traditions of Cossack martial arts and the theoretical achievements of modern sports science, hortting is a bridge connecting the glorious past and bright future of the Ukrainian nation.
At the current stage of development of the sport, it is impossible to train highly qualified hortingists without a proper scientific, theoretical and methodological foundation. Since its inception, the All-Ukrainian public organisation “Ukrainian Horting Federation” has attached great importance to the scientific justification of training methods used in the preparation of athletes of different ages and qualification levels.
The most powerful centres for scientific research in horting in Ukraine are the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, the Volyn National University named after Lesya Ukrainka, and the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. The president of the Kharkiv Regional Horting Federation is Andriy Lytvynenko, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
In 2024, a new page in the development of horting in the Kharkiv region began. Our hero, defender of Ukraine, Ruslan Vadymovych Zub, joined the organisational work at full capacity. He headed the separate division of the Ukrainian Horting Federation in the Kharkiv region.
In 2024, a memorandum was signed with the All -Ukrainian Public Organization “Ukrainian Horting Federation” on cooperation with the development of national sport.
In addition to solving sports training, KNURE specialists carry out thorough work on scientific support of the training process in order to achieve maximum sports results and at the same time maintain the health of athletes. The best athletes of NURE are part of the national team of Ukraine and are winners and champions of Ukraine, Europe and the world, masters of sports of Ukraine.
