From October 7 to 9, 2026, a delegation of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took part in the Days of Ukraine 2026 in Brandenburg, held in Berlin and Wildau. The event brought together representatives of the academic community, policymakers, and international partners around the common goals of supporting Ukraine and developing a shared European future.
The NURE delegation included Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor Larysa Karpova; Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Professor Anastasiia Chupryna; Head of the Department of Software Engineering, Professor Kyrylo Smeliakov; Associate Professor of the Department of Electronic Computers Vitalii Martovytskyi; and Associate Professor of the Department of Electronic Computers Nataliia Bolohova.
The delegation presented the University’s achievements on the international stage and contributed to the programme with a series of presentations. Anastasiia Chupryna delivered an official welcome address on behalf of NURE, expressing gratitude to Germany and other European Union countries for their solidarity and support for Ukraine during an extremely difficult period, as well as to TH Wildau for many years of fruitful cooperation.
Among the speakers at the event were Joachim Gauck, former President of the Federal Republic of Germany; Prof. Dr. Ulrike Tippe, President of TH Wildau; Frank Nerlich, Mayor of Wildau; Prof. Dr. Marcus Frohme; and Prof. Dr. Alina Nechyporenko.
A major outcome of the visit was the signing of an agreement establishing the Wildau–NURE Quantum IT Alliance (WiN Q-IT Alliance) between Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau. This step opens a new chapter in the partnership and expands opportunities for cooperation in the field of quantum technologies.
The mission of the WiN Q-IT Alliance is to create a sustainable Ukrainian-German environment for the development of joint research, innovation, international projects, and academic-industry partnerships. The Alliance is designed to combine the scientific potential, expertise, and bold ideas of both universities to develop new technological solutions.
For NURE, this is a continuation of many years of cooperation and, at the same time, an ambitious step forward toward new research, broader international opportunities, and technologies that will shape the future.
