On the eve of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Igor Ruban, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, met with the directors of special schools in the Kharkiv region. The meeting was facilitated by the accessibility service “ NURE without restrictions.”
The conversation was attended by the directors of educational institutions: Olena Miroshnyk (special school No. 5), Tetiana Alyoshicheva (special school No. 6 for children with hearing impairments), Nataliia Dereglazova (special school No. 12), Oleksandr Bilousov (Special School named after V.G. Korolenko for children with visual impairments), Olga Yalova (No. 8 for children with musculoskeletal disorders), and Yulia Maslovska (No. 7 for children with speech impairments).
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were discussed, and suggestions and proposals were made to create learning conditions for people with special educational needs, improve the digital competence of special school teachers, and support parents raising children with disabilities.
