On November 3–4, 2025, students of the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Engineering at NURE — Diana Ibragimova (AKm-25-2) and Volodymyr Porokhnyak (AMCIm-24-2), as part of the Kernel Knights team, represented Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics with dignity at the prestigious Critical Infrastructure Protection CTF 2025 competition, which took place within the Kyiv International Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum 2025.
The competition was organized by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, with the support of CRDF Global, and the technical base was provided by the Unit Range cyber platform.
Twenty-three teams participated in the competition — 16 offline and 7 online, including representatives of leading universities, government agencies, and private companies.
The Kernel Knights team won an honorable 3rd place among online participants, demonstrating a high level of technical training, analytical thinking, and true team spirit.
Students of the V.V. Popovsky Department of Information and Communication Technologies once again confirmed that NURE is a breeding ground for cyber leaders who are shaping a secure digital future for Ukraine even in the most difficult times.
