The laboratory was created in 2020 as a result of the merger of the educational and scientific center “Thermocontrol” of the Department of Physics and the laboratory of eddy current and optoelectronic methods of non-destructive testing of DOED Department.
Laboratory purpose
Conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of non-destructive testing of high-tech products and diagnostics of industrial equipment.
Research directions
- development and improvement of technologies for non-destructive testing of vacuum-plasma coatings, remote monitoring of thermal processes of the formation of multilayer nano- and macrostructures;
- improvement of technologies and tools for studying the quality of surfaces of complex geometry of critical mechanical engineering products (energy, transport, aviation);
- development of energy-saving technologies in the direction of search and assessment of heat losses of industrial and residential facilities;
- thermographic diagnostics and assessment of the residual life of industrial facilities;
- training of specialists in the field of eddy current, thermal and optoelectronic non-destructive testing.
Educational process
The direction of laboratory research is closely related to the educational process of specialties 172, 173.
Main scientific achievements
Over the past year, the laboratory has been:
- published three scientific genders in professional journals, for example the last article by prof. Chumakov V. “EXPEREMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF PULSE STERELIZATION OF PATHOGENS”, published in the USA on the preprint BioRxiv platform;
- received a patent for invention No. 124366 “Method of navigation of an unmanned aerial vehicle with protection against interception of control and a system for its implementation”;
- prepared and defended a PhD thesis on the topic “Colorimetric method and means for express quality control of grain crops” Efimenko S.;
- laboratory staff took an active part in the 31st international symposium in Sozopol, Bulgaria.
Scientific seminars
On the basis of the laboratory, scientific seminars on non-destructive testing are regularly held, both for students and for graduate students.
