An Ethics Commission will be launched at NURE

08.09.2025

A working group meeting on the creation of the Commission on Ethics and Academic Integrity was held. Vasyl Rossikhin, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Corporate Affairs and Administration, led the group’s work.

This initiative is a key element of the University’s strategy to implement the principles of sustainable development, which create an inclusive, safe and fair educational environment for all.
The Commission will function as an independent collegial body. Its main task is to protect the rights and dignity of all participants in the educational process and prevent and investigate cases of bullying, discrimination, sexual harassment, and violations of academic integrity.
The creation of such a commission complies with the requirements of the law and contributes to developing a modern, open and ethical university environment. NURE strives to create an environment free from all forms of violence and discrimination, where every student and employee can feel safe and focus on learning, science and development. This is a direct path to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: quality education, gender equality and inclusion.
A working group led by the vice-rector has begun forming the Commission’s composition and adopting regulations for its work. The Commission will start its work after consideration and approval by the Academic Council, becoming an essential tool for strengthening trust, ethics, and academic culture at the university.
