17.05.2019

On May 16, students and staff of NURE joined the World Day of Vyshyvanka — an international holiday, which is designed to preserve the original Ukrainian traditions and their popularization among the young people and the population.

Reference: Vyshyvanka Day was founded in 2006 by Lesya Voronyuk a student of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of Chernivtsi National University named after Yuri Fedkovich. The girl suggested to her classmates and students to choose one day and all together to put on embroidered shirts. First, the action was joined by only a few dozen students and several faculty members. And over the next few years, the holiday has grown to the All-Ukrainian level. the Ukrainian Diaspora around the world, as well as supporters of Ukraine,  began to join it.
