1979, he graduated from the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics, Specialty in “Automated control systems”.
1989 – Ph.D. The thesis was defended in 1989 at the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics, Specialty “Automated control systems”.
2005 – Doctor of Sciences. Thesis defended 2005 in Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. Specialty 05.13.12 – Systems of Design Works Automation.
2006 – Professor of System Engineering.

Teaches courses: Mathematical modelling of complex systems, Systems modelling, Computer simulation of systems dynamics, Technologies of designing and reengineering large-scale objects, Operations research methods and their applications.
Research activities
From 1982 to 2017 he was the executive or the head of the sections of research work, in particular: “Development of a complex of mathematical models of socio-economic development of the region taking into account the efficiency of the use of infrastructure and communal resources“, ”Development of principles, methodology of designing and creation of the information-analytical system of decision-making support in the management of socio-economic development of the region“, “Development of theoretical bases of designing decision-support systems in the management of socio-economic development of the region”, “Development of mathematical models and methods of system structural topological synthesis of regional geographically distributed objects”, “Structural synthesis of geographically distributed objects in conditions of incomplete data certainty”, “Development of mathematical models and methods of reengineering of topological structures of geographically distributed objects”.
From 1996 to 2015, he was a scientific secretary, and from 2015 – chairman of the specialized scientific council D 64.052.02 on defending doctoral and candidate dissertations at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
Since 2022 – Member of the specialized scientific council D 64.089.04 at Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy named after O.M. Beketov.
Member of the Presidium of the Scientific and Technical Council of KhNURE.
Member of the editorial boards of the scientific journal “The Current State of Scientific Research and Technology in Industry”. Member of the program committees of international scientific conferences “Information Systems and Technologies”, “Information Technologies and Computer Modeling”, and “Intelligent Systems and Information Technologies”.
Research activity: design and reengineering of large-scale objects; mathematical modelling; multi-criteria estimation and decision making.
