On February 18, 2025, during a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of NURE Murad Omarov met with the Director General of the Institute of Management Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ali Abbasov. During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence were discussed and the issue of signing an agreement on further cooperation between NURE and ISU was agreed upon.
On February 19, 2025, a meeting was held with the head of NF EDUCATION LLC and a cooperation agreement was agreed upon. This company became another partner of NURE in attracting citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to study at NURE.
On February 20, 2025, Murad Omarov took part in the general meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA).
The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education Anar Iskenderov, other representatives of the state leadership, deputies, full members and corresponding members of the Academy, directors of scientific institutions and organizations of the NAS, rectors of higher education institutions, authors of important scientific results achieved in 2024 in the republic. The meeting heard a report by NAS President Academician Isa Gabibbeyli on the topic “From Basic Reforms in the Academy – to the Development Concept and Roadmap”.
The exhibition of scientific achievements dedicated to the results of 2024 was reviewed.
Murad Omarov also met with Rasim Aliguliyev, Director of the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, to discuss further development of cooperation. The Institute is a leading scientific organization in Azerbaijan that conducts priority and relevant research in the field of information technology.
On February 21, 2025, Vice-Rector Murad Omarov met with the leadership of the Quality Assurance Agency for Education (QAEA) of Azerbaijan. The meeting discussed urgent issues of recognition of educational documents of the University of Radio Electronics in Azerbaijan, as well as the recognition of Azerbaijani documents in NURE
