Alexey Turuta and Andrey Babii, scientists of the Department of Software Engineering of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics prepared and published a review of modern approaches to Neural Natural Language Generation: A Survey on Multilinguality, Multimodality, Controllability and Learning in one of the prestigious editions (included in the first quartile – Q1) on artificial intelligence Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR), the research work is carried out within the project COST Action CA18231 “Multi3Generation: Multi-task, Multilingual, Multi-modal Language Generation”.
The publication describes the current challenges and existing methods of text generation, as well as approaches to control model output, peculiarities of working with multimodal and multilingual data.

Ukraine since 2022 became a full participant in the projects of scientific cooperation COST Action. And since 2019, Ukraine in COST Action CA18231 “Multi3Generation: Multi-task, Multilingual, Multi-modal Language Generation” is represented by Alexey Turuta and Andrey Babii, scientists of the Software Engineering Department of NURE.
