Implementation of the concept of a “green” university is one of the current trends in the development of the world’s leading higher education institutions. It involves the integration of the principles of environmentally sustainable development into all aspects of higher education. The use of green technologies is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy – to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

Professors of the department Yuriy Zholudov, Dmytro Snizhko and the head of the department, Professor Oleg Avrunin, conducted the first tests of energy-saving power sources – solar panels and wind power plants. In the context of power outages during rocket attacks on the country, the use of alternative ecological energy sources to power mobile devices, laptops, Wi-Fi routers, power banks for medical devices for individual use, etc. is one of the possible ways to support the educational process and research activities of teachers and students. |
