Traditionally, in February, Ukraine honors the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. This year is the ninth anniversary of the bloody events on the Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity.
The Heavenly Hundred is a collective name in Ukraine for the more than 100 protesters who died during the events of the Revolution of Dignity in December 2013 – February 2014.
It was during these days that the confrontation between the protesters and the then regime reached its peak. And on February 20, 2014, most of the Maidan activists were killed.
Among them was a graduate of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, Yevhen Kotliar. Flowers were laid to the memorial board and a minute of silence was held.
