On October 29, 2021, the International Conference “Information Security: Problems and Prospects” was held jointly by the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and the University Azerbaijan. The conference was held online.
At the opening of the conference, the University of Radio Electronics was presented by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Murad Omarov. The Vice-Rector noted that the staff of NURE has a serious infrastructure, staff and experience in the field of information security and is ready to expand cooperation with the University of Azerbaijan in new areas. Also, the Rector of the University Azerbaijan Saadat Aliyeva addressed the conference participants and wished them success. The Rector noted that the university has been implementing programs of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies with NURE since 2019. According to the memorandum signed between the parties, an international joint program of double degrees in computer engineering and computer science is applied.
The conference was actively attended by employees of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering named after V.V. Popovsky and the Department of Computer Radio Engineering and Information Security Systems. 15 reports were presented. All reports and articles will be published in professional publications of Azerbaijan.
On the same day, a joint training and research laboratory on information security, equipped with modern technical equipment, was inaugurated.
This joint international conference is a logical continuation of fruitful cooperation between universities. In the future, cooperation will cover new areas. It is planned to establish a joint department of information security at the University Azerbaijan in the near future.
