Education and Career

In 1987, he graduated from the Kharkov State University. His qualification is a radiophysicist and specialty is the radiophysics and electronics.

He received the diploma in Ph.D. (from the NSC “KIPT”) and Dr.S. (from the IRE of NAS of Ukraine) degrees of physical and mathematical sciences in 1993 and 2007, respectively.

Since 1995 he is a the Senior Researcher of physics of charged particle beams and accelerator technology (assigned by NSC “KIPT”)


Educational activity

Since 2017 to present he is a professor of the department of MEEDA of KhNURE. He carries on the course of an “analog circuits” (lectures). He is the head of the branch of the department of MEEDA in IRE NAS of Ukraine.

Between 2002 and 2012, he was an associate professor, and a professor of the department of RED of KHNURE. He carried on the courses of the “analog electronic devices” (lectures, practical and laboratory classes) and a “microwave diagnostics and monitoring of electrophysical parameters of substances” for masters (lectures and laboratory works). He was the head of the branch of the department of RED in IRE NAS of Ukraine.

From 1994 to 1997 he was a lecturer and an associate professor of the Kharkov Institute of Pilots. He carried on the courses of a “general physics” (lectures, practical and laboratory classes) and a “fundamentals of microelectronics” (lectures).


Researcher activity

Since 2000 to present, he is a Senior Researcher and a Leading Researcher (since 01.06.2015) of the A. Ya. Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Between 1987 and 2000, he was a senior laboratory assistant, and a junior researcher and a senior researcher of the National Scientific Center “Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. His research activity includes theoretical and experimental studies of microwave and millimeter wave oscillations, and theoretical and experimental radiophysics, and the physics of beams of charged particles and accelerator technology, and theoretical electrodynamics of quasi-optical cylindrical and spherical dielectric (and also semiconductor and ferrite) resonators. He is the co-author of a high-power pulse microwave generator of a vircator type with a controlled feedback that was named as virtod.
