Honorary Professor of KNURE, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Istanbul Technical University (Turkey)

Born in Istanbul 07/02/1959
He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Electronics of Istanbul Technical University (ITU), where he began his career as a researcher at the Department of Electricity in 1985.
Received a master’s degree from the ITU Institute of Nuclear Energy.
He defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Stochastic signal processing using a neural network in the monitoring of power plants.”
Dr. Secker was a graduate student at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) with his scholarship from Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC) and worked on signal analysis techniques. Worked on industrial signal processing at Nuclear Engineering Department and Maintenance and Reliability Centre of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville-USA.
1986 – Associate Professor, Istanbul Technical University ITU.
Vice dean position at Electrical and Electronic Engineering Faculty during 2001 – 2004.
He was department head in Electrical engineering department between 2004 and 2007.
Nowadays Dr. Seker is dean of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Faculty at ITU.
