Education and Career

from June 1972  to  Dec 1999  Officer in RSN (Royal Swedish Navy).

from 1990 as Lieutenant Commander.

During 1972 – 1999 are completed within the Royal Swedish Navy, although they have been partially implemented in civilian schools.

1974 Coastal skipper’s certificate from: Sjöbefälskolan Kalmar (now Linnaeus University).

1977-1979 Royal Swedish Navy Technical Gymnasium, Karlskrona.

1981 Navy Engineer with skipper’s certificate from: Sjöbefälskolan Kalmar (now Linnaeus University).

1981-1983 Lieutenant, Navy Engineer from:  Royal Navy War Academy 3 year (Krigshögskola Almänna kurs)  partly KTH with focus on CCS and TACS (Command and Control Systems) (Target Arms Control Systems) in Submarines.

1984-1986  Captain,  Navy Engineer:  Royal Navy War Academy Advanced Course (Krigshögskola Högrekurs) partly KTH with focus on computer based CCS/TACS and computer based sonar systems in Submarines. Thesis: “New method of the target factor calculation in Submarines”.

1987-1990  Service in Submarines and research and development of LoFar  (LOw Frequency ARray) in Submarines. To developed a PC-based education and training system, using FFT- analyze in a PC 386/387 to calculate and present target data in a color screen.

1990  Lieutenant Commander.

1991-1994      Project manager at computer center, in south Navy Base, (ÖrlB.S).

1995- 1999  Research Scientist/Engineer, it was a joint project  split between HKR (BTH) and FMV/Swedish Defense.

1999- 2006     CES (Center of Electronic Security).

2007- 2013  EU project Prevention of and Fight against Crime.

2007 – 2010  ISEC I: Europol was grant holder  and I was course developer in  Network Forensics and adv. Cellphone forensics.

2010 – 2013   ISEC II:  BKA (fed. Police of Germany grant holder). Manager for “OS X Forensics” and course developer in Advanced Network Forensics, and Solid State Forensics.

2012- 2017 Phd studies in Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics. Thesis “Detect and Mitigate Low intensive DoS attacks”.

2010 -2013 BAITSE: Baltic Academic IT-Security exchange, Sweden Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine. Applicant and Project Manager.

2012 -2017 EU – TEMPUS project ENGENSEC. Applicant and General Manager.

From 1999 to the present time he works of the Department of Computer Science of Blekinge Institute of Technology.


Research activities

Research interests is based in computer system and network, classification of malware, pattern recognition of attacks in network, infrastructure attacks in the new “Hybrid Warfare”.
