At the end of May 2022 the DataArt company organized an informal tournament of the International Programming Blitz Olympiad Proggy-Buggy Towel Contest 2022.
The goal of the Olympiad is to attract students and young professionals to the international Olympiad movement as a form of professional training of competitive IT-specialists. The spring tournament of the Olympiad is held as a training tournament before the official competition in the autumn.
By tradition the participants had to solve 13 algorithmic tasks in 42 minutes.
In the tournament 228 participants from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland, Germany and Bulgaria, acting as professionals and amateurs, competed. Among the participants as amateurs were our students, who in the future should replace our legendary teams. In the amateur category, four first-year students of the speciality software engineering took part.
According to announced results student Ivan Burgard (group PZPI-21-4), who now lives in Cherkassy, took third place among amateurs and received the appropriate Certificate.
We congratulate our students and wish them further success in their studies and new achievements in professional competitions!
