On October 26, 2021, at the invitation of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine, NURE employees took part in a webinar on the ZOOM platform, “ACCESSIBILITY: INCLUSIVENESS and RESPONSIBILITY”.
The event was attended by: the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its representatives from different regions of Ukraine, representatives of structural units of regional administrations, members and partners of NAIU and other specialists.
The main purpose of the webinar was to structure the knowledge of the seminar participants on accessibility issues; to gain practical skills in the application of DBN, current standards and norms.
The event discussed the formation of accessibility policy at the national and local levels, raised issues of barriers to creating an accessible environment for people with disabilities.
The results of the webinar have significant practical value for the work of the special training and rehabilitation department and services of the university.
