2. Team-Based Approach

  • Including representatives from faculty student senates, dormitory student councils, eco-societies, and vulnerable groups in the department.
  • Appointing responsible students for each SDG prioritized by NURE.

3. Proactive Engagement

  • Ban single-use plastic in the premises of the Student Senate (SDGs 12, 14).
  • Bookcrossing for used books and similar initiatives (SDG 12).
  • Vegetarian Thursdays in campus cafeterias (SDG 13).

4. Adapting NURE Policies to Contemporary Challenges

  • Increasing the share of renewable energy used on campus (SDG 7).
  • Reducing CO₂ emissions (SDG 13).
  • Advocating for scholarships and assistance for internally displaced persons affected by the war (SDGs 4, 10).
  • Introducing gender-neutral restrooms (SDG 5).
  • Promoting the integration of SDGs into educational programs among program guarantors and project group members (SDG 4).

5. Projects on Campus and in the Community

  • A semester-long competition “Adopt the SDGs,” where department teams compete in project development.
  • Regular “SDG Volunteer Week” events to establish partnerships with local civil society organizations.
  • Advocating for the creation of a “Green Fund.”
  • Implementing the “Healing through Art” program, where students affected by the war create murals, poems, or music at the Student Club.
  • Supporting the activities of the “Club for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.”.
