The Accessibility Service “KNURE without Limits” took part in the training on “First Psychological Aid”, which took place on February 15 and was aimed at mastering the skills of providing psychological support to people in crisis situations and practicing basic techniques for helping victims of stress, trauma or emergencies.

The following issues were addressed during the training:

Human reactions to stress and crisis, how to communicate with a person in crisis
How to create a safe environment, calm and support victims, understanding psychological reactions to acute stress
Tools for creating a supportive atmosphere in the educational environment
Self-help methods to prevent burnout.
The training was supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It is extremely important to support each and every one of us in difficult life situations, and with the acquisition of practical knowledge, such support becomes more accessible and professional.

First psychological aid is not only about helping and supporting others, but also about preserving the specialist’s own psychological resource.
