The administrators of the Centre for Technologies of Distance Learning and the Scientific Library evacuated the distance learning system and e-library to the Amazon cloud environment with the support of the university’s partner IT company EPAM.
When the russian occupiers realized impossibility of the easy seizing the glorious city of Kharkiv, they started severely bombed the city’s infrastructure: factories, companies, power plants, hospitals, educational institutions… So that the probability of power outages and the Internet as a consequence for indefinite time was increasing.
Considering the hard situation in the city and the position of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to renew the classes in April, the Scientific Supervisor of the Centre for Technologies of Distance Learning Viktor Kauk agreed with the university’s partner – IT company EPAM the possibility of free transfer of critical university resources (distance learning and scientific library). Service Administrators Vyacheslav Grebenyuk and Serhiy Zavodov provided the needed virtual capacity for deploying our electronic systems during the week.
Thus, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has provided uninterrupted access to all university courses and officially confirmed the possibility of resumption of the classes in early April due to coordinated and effective actions with our anchor partner EPAM. The official announcement should be given on the university website soon.
