The Head of the Legal Office and the Dean of the Infocommunications Faculty could manage to deliver the students to evacuation trains under enemy artillery fire. Driver of the university’s fleet vehicle could manage to relocate the equipment to the university’s bomb shelter.
During the first decade of March the russian aggressor failed to invade the peaceful city Kharkiv and the enemy began massive artillery shelling, rocket attacks and air bombardment of the city. Universities dormitories where students stayed were broken. Shelling damaged windows and walls of the several dormitories and further residence of our students became impossible. Students’ parents have been calling the university and requested the immediate delivery of their children to the Railway Station for further evacuation to the Western Ukraine.
Our valorous colleagues Danylo Chulkov, Head of the Legal Office, and Arkadii Snihurov, Dean of the Faculty of Infocommunications, began to evacuate students in their own vehicles within a hard situation in the city with fuel and snowy weather. Totally, more than twenty of our students were evacuated from the dormitories and later left the city to safer western cities Lviv and Ternopil. And now Danylo Chulkov has switched to solving the problem of delivering humanitarian aid to our dormitories by his own vehicles.
Students and staff who lost their homes in a result of enemy shelling have been stay in dormitories or rather in the bomb shelters. The driver of the university fleet vehicle Valery Ratiy under enemy bombing could manage to deliver the appropriate equipment to the bomb shelters that provided full adaptation of the shelter to the hosting students and teachers during the air raids.
NURE is proud of our heroic drivers!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to heroes!
