NURE STUDENTS WON AN ABSOLUTE VICTORY IN THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMING CHAMPIONSHIP

The South Caucasus Open Programming Championship was held on July 1-4. It was held two and a half years after the last championship due to coronavirus restrictions.
Students of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics from the [KhNURE] Energy is not over were the current two-time champions of the South Caucasus in both individual and team standings, so the organizers sought to make maximum efforts to enable our team to defend the title. Unfortunately, the team could not travel to Georgia, but the organizers, taking into account the difficult situation in our country, decided to allow our team to compete remotely in parallel with other participants who arrived in Tbilisi. Team Kharkiv NURE_Mammutjager (Kirill Chernov PZPI-19-2 and Andriy Karpenko PZPI-19-2) participated in the championship on behalf of our university and wrote together with teams from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey in Tbilisi.

Team Kharkiv NURE_Mammutjager gained experience in the Olympiads of this level and managed to win the 3rd degree diploma.

The first team consisting of Matvei Asladukov (gr.SSHIm-20-2) and Igor Barenblat (ITINF-19-1) managed to perform well in both team and individual competitions and won two absolute first places and two cups.

Note that this result is unprecedented in the history of the championship, our guys have updated their historic record and for the first time in the history of the championship were able to win three times in individual and team competition.
