On April 10, a group of students from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics visited the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. During the trip, organized by the NURE students’ trade union committee, the participants visited the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the city of Pripyat. The trip was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the biggest man-made disaster – the Chernobyl accident.
Reference: On April 26, 1986, two explosions occurred during an experiment at the 4th reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A cloud of radioactive dust escaped into the Earth’s atmosphere, leading to irreparable medical, economic, social and humanitarian consequences. According to environmental consequences, the accident turned into a planetary catastrophe.
