On September 26, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad 2020 took place. Kharkiv National University team KhNURE_Energy is not over consisting of Matviy Aslandukov, Andriy Shanin and Igor Barenblat won the first place. And KhNURE_Mammutjäger team consisting of: Mikhail Kupriyanov, Kirill Chernov, Tatiana Rakova and KhNURE_RandomPeople team consisting of: Anton Gavrashenko, Mikhail Plotnikov, Ivan Popovich, took two third places.
The first stage is regional and is conducted in each region on the same set of tasks, and is an official rating for the Eastern region and unofficial throughout the country. In total, the best 16 teams of NURE took part in the event. According to the results of the competition, 6 teams of the University of Radio Electronics got into the top 12. Also in the top 12 were included 2 teams of KhNU named after V.N. Karazin, 1 team of the National Technical University “KhPI”, 2 teams of KhNEU named after S. Kuznets and a team of schoolchildren from the gymnasium №45
